WHOLE Women’s Conference

July 25, 2012 — 6 Comments

Last night, I read an article on the Huffington Post web site about pornography. The title of the article is “What I Wish I’d Known Before Watching Porn.” The article is very powerful and filled with truth. The interesting thing is that is written by a woman. Most of us don’t associate porn with women. For many of us, especially in the Church, we assume porn is a male issue.

According to this article, 1/3 of all porn watchers are women.

You can read the rest of the article HERE:

I woke up this morning to an email from our good friend, Crystal Renaud. Crystal leads a ministry called Dirty Girls Ministries, and has written a book called, Dirty Girls Come Clean. She has found freedom from sexual addiction and is helping woman all over the country find that same freedom. In August, she is hosting the first annual WHOLE conference.

I felt God impress on me to unschedule the post I had scheduled for this morning and share with you about the WHOLE conference. Here are the details.

Dirty Girls Ministries in partnership with Westside Family Church in Lenexa, KS presents WHOLE Women’s Conference on August 24-25, 2012 featuring author and Women of Faith speaker Lisa Harper.

Based on Mark 5:34a, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole,” this conference experience will tackle tough subjects normally left untouched by the typical women’s conference. Topics that both Christian and non-Christian women struggle with in today’s culture.

WHOLE is for all women, from all walks of life, including teen girls!

In addition to dynamic teaching and worship, breakouts sessions will address intimacy in marriage, searching for significance, pornography addiction, human trafficking and over a dozen more. Regardless of your own struggles, this conference is designed to bring awareness of the growing issues plaguing the hearts of women today.

Price of admission is just $35 and includes dynamic worship, the choice of over a dozen breakout sessions that will address topics relevant to the heart of every woman, breakfast devotional led by Lisa Whittle, lunch provided by Chick-fil-A, a modesty fashion show for teen girls, exhibitor & resource tables and all conference materials.

We want to encourage you to check out the WHOLE conference. If you can’t make it, forward the information to someone you may know of that is broken and hurting and desires to be WHOLE. It will be a powerful conference.

Very interesting!! I do hope they open this up nationwide to hit major cities in every state. I can’t make it due to being far away. I def can get a lot out of this conferenece. I do not go to “womens” conference because I never felt that touched on issues that are near and dear to my heart and issues. Thank you for bringing this to the attention of your readers. I truly hope they bring this to Indiana soon. :)
